As with most robovacs the Yeedi Cube also requires some work to get it up and running. This involves setting up an account on the app and connecting the device to your WiFi network. Once that's done, though the robot can begin vacuuming and mopping with ease.
It is important to remember that the mapping process may take a while, and the Yeedi Cube may need a couple of attempts before it can get an accurate image of your living space. In addition, object detection can be unpredictable; it was able to get around furniture and other obstacles, but was stuck on a looser tassel and had to flip its back to release itself. These are minor flaws and the Yeedi Cube remains a great choice for those in need of a cleaning companion that does it all.
3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
The Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete delivers a three-in-one home cleaning solution. Its advanced mopping features an alternating motion that's similar to hand scrubbers. This results in floors being cleaned and not just being swept. The vacuum stick that can be detached is an innovative tool that can reach places even a robot vacuum cannot.
The model is basically identical to the well-known X2 Omni but with a slightly increased suction power of 8,700Pa as well as a few additional smart features. The upgraded RGBD sensor can learn your home's layout better and provide dynamic obstacle avoidance. Its navigation technology was effective, navigating close to walls without crashing, and avoiding stairs. It had trouble with small particles and did not always clear the raised thresholds in rooms. Its operating noise level is also relatively high, which suggests it could be a less reliable set-and-forget model than other models.
The S1 Pro, like most robotic vacuums, is equipped with a docking system that allows it to refill its clean water, empty the dust bin and wash and dry the mop, and then empty its mop pad. This makes maintenance simple and allows the S1 Pro to spend more time cleaning floors according to a routine schedule. You can control all of its functions via the Eufy app. It provides a clear overview and plenty of configurability.
5. Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is one of the most premium robot mowers and vacuums available, and it provides impressive mixed vacuuming and mopping performance. Its LIDAR mapping sensor is able to recognize furniture legs and other obstacles with a decent precision, and the app allows users to fine-tune map coverage, set zones that are not allowed to enter, and set cleaning preferences. The Freo's roller brush is specifically designed to prevent hair from wrapping around it. This can be an issue for many robotic vacuums.
The Mop Mode also impresses, with Reuleaux triangular mop heads that rotate at 180 RPM and apply upward pressure of up to 12N. The mopping system incorporates intelligent carpet detectors that raise the pads when they are near soft surfaces in order to prevent contamination.
The docking station acts as an automated maintenance center that automatically washes and dry the mops, and refills them with detergent and distillate water. The base station features an integrated dust-processing system that compacts dust and allows for seven weeks of uninterrupted maintenance.
6. S10
This robot is only a few hundred dollars more expensive than the S8 and does an excellent job of keeping my home office clean. It can also reach into the corners of my tiny apartment. It uses laser mapping and a camera to create an outline of your area, so it knows which areas to avoid. It also has a detector for objects and obstructions that can block things like dog bowls and toys (but not poop) unlike other vacuums.
Other amazing features include a self emptying dustbin, a mop that is self-washing, adjustable for water temperature, and a side-reaching brush that can reach areas that other mops miss. You can also set up cleaning schedules within the app and adjust the settings for each room in your home.
Like the S8 It also has multi-room smart mapping and can differentiate between carpets, laminate and hardwood rugs with high-pile. If you're looking to cut down on time, it will avoid mopping rooms that aren't filthy. It's an excellent option if you have a mix of flooring in your home and do not want to invest the extra money on the Roborock with advanced mapping features.
7. Q5 Pro
This robot is a great choice to consider if you're seeking a flexible robot that can do both regular maintenance and touch-ups for wet messes. It offers a broad range of features including self-emptying dustbins and an additional water refill dock, as well as customizable settings in the app. It's surprisingly quiet and can easily maneuver around furniture legs or socks. It can't pick tangled rug tassels up and its battery drains more quickly than other models we've tested.
The Q5 Pro, with a price of less than $250, is a powerhouse that offers a powerful suction and convenient automation in a sleek design. It wasn't as efficient as the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra in our vacuuming tests however, it did very well. It comes with a variety of cleaning options, ranging from the low power 'Quiet mode which is suitable for small debris to the incredibly powerful "Turbo mode" for carpeted areas. It also has the capability to automatically remove and replace its mop pads, without getting your carpets wet.
8. K10 Plus
The K10 Plus is a great two-in-one robot vacuum and mop for those who live in tiny areas. It's extremely quick and quiet and it is able to navigate tight spaces efficiently. It also does a nice job of getting pet hair off carpeting.
It's smaller than the majority of its competitors however it doesn't compromise features. It has decent suction power and can be programmed to take photos of each object it picks (i.e. chew toys, socks), and mark them in the app as "not located' so that they are not taken up in subsequent cleanings. The photos are secure and are not tied to your account.
It does a fantastic job of vaccuming, but it isn't as good at mopping. It makes use of disposable wet wipes you clip onto the bottom of the bot and it essentially drags them across your floor. Compare this to the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra or Narwhal with water reservoirs, and automatically wash and attach their mopheads.
